Taipei, June 4 (CNA) Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie told the Associated Press Tuesday that she admires the works of Taiwanese director Ang Lee and hopes to work with Chinese talent.
"I'm not sure if you consider Ang Lee Chinese, he's Taiwanese but he does many Chinese-language films with many Chinese artists and actors, and I think his work and the actors in his films are the ones I'm most familiar with and are very fond of," Jolie told AP in Shanghai, where she was promoting her latest fantasy adventure film "Maleficent." She was accompanied by her actor husband Brad Pitt and three of their children.
Lee, a two-time Oscar-winning director, expressed interest last year in helming a film that is likely to star Jolie as the Egyptian queen Cleopatra.
