Our Amazing Bodies

Believe it or not, your body is quite amazing. We’re going to take a quick tour of the human form. Along the way, we’ll discover some surprising facts.

Why not start at the top? Your wonderful brain is only 2 percent of your body mass. However, it uses 20 percent of the oxygen you take in. And despite being 80 percent water, brains hold just as much information as desktop computers.

Going down to your stomach, we find some very strong acid. It helps us digest food, and it’s powerful enough to destroy metal! But please, don’t try to test this fact out!

Let’s end the day with bones. Adults have 206 in their bodies, but babies are born with 300. Now, why do you think that is?
